Nature’s Care | Organic Garden

As an avid gardener and animator this was a dream job for me.

The initial ask was for a photorealistic garden to come to life from within the pages of a children’s pop up book. Unfortunately time and money got in the way as they often do. I suggested that we lean into the idea of a pop up book and instead of creating photorealistic 3D assets let’s use photographic elements to create a 3D pop up book that tells the same story.

After a trip to the Children’s Reference library to ‘research’ pop up books I had a good idea how to effectively rig our own pop up book using only deformers within Cinema 4D. I worked with our DOP to previz the shoot and the finale turned out exactly as we had planned.
